Electrical Installation
The simplee Experience
for
Hustech Installations AG

Reading time: about 3 minutes

Fabio, when was the last time you personally installed a charging station?
(laughs) As the Project Manager for New Energy, I currently have to think more about which projects didn't include a charging solution. I am also personally on-site for most projectsm which means I am involved in the installation myself. The last project that we handed over to the owners a few days ago was a mulit-family house with 46 parking spaces equipped with charging stations an d load management.

So, you are very involved in the practical side and also know what is well-received by your installation team and what isn't?

Absolutely. I completed my apprenticeship as an electrical installer at Hustech and have since witnessed many technological advancements and new tools. Having spent a year doing installations in garages, I understand the pros and cons of these installations. The products are new, but the challenges in installation have not fundamentally changed.

Do you think Easee has taken the right approach here?

Absolutely. A crucial aspect for us during installation is the time involved. Here, Easee sets the bar very high for others. For us, Easee is by far the simplest charging solution in terms of installation and configuration, which is why it's our standard. If customers specifically request a different product, we naturally fulfill that wish. However, from our perspective, Easee's charging robots offer a phenomenal price-performance ratio and all the features a user could wish for. And in terms of installation, I currently see no other product on the market that can be commissioned with the same ease. This creates a win-win situation with Easee: We have the easiest product for us to install, and the customers get a top product at a fair price.

What are your requirements for the charging solutions that you install?

The reliability of the charging stations is our main criterion. We want to provide users with a good charging experience, which is only possible with products that can guarantee stability. Additionally, it's crucial for us to have a competent contact person who assists us in planning charging infrastructures and also during their operation. For the rapidly growing area of private charging infrastructures, we have found a solution with Easee's products that meets these requirements. Furthermore, with simplee as a partner, we know we have someone who can competently and quickly address all our concerns.

When you think back to the first charging stations you installed, what are the biggest differences compared to then?

Looking back, I especially remember the huge charging stations. You also had such a model in your early days. (both laugh) Today, DC charging stations like your Alpitronic HYC 50 are available in these dimensions. Moreover, programming the charging stations has become much simpler. Another significant difference from back then is the communication between charging stations and between the charging infrastructure and the building. Today, charging infrastructures need to be smart and connected. Anything else is no longer contemporary.

And in which direction is the trend heading today?

Well, bidirectional charging is certainly a hot topic at the moment. The Easee charging robots are prepared for bidirectional charging, but the communication standard for bidirectional charging still needs to be finalized and implemented. This means we are not yet at a point where the technology is widely available. However, to ensure we are ready when the implementation arrives, we continue to rely on the most technically innovative and safest charging solutions currently available - those from Easee.

What role does simplee play in your daily work?

I hope you don't take it the wrong way, but I'm happy when we hear from each other as little as possible. (laughs) That means we don't have any problems. We order from your shop, receive the goods, and carry out the installations. The only point of contact with you afterwards is just a short call for the review of the Equalizer configuration and the configuration of the load shedding. And here, I would like to give you a small compliment.

Oh, we are quite eager to hear it!

We really appreciate your team a lot. The fact that we can reach someone at any time who can help us is not a given in our industry. We value this greatly, and we are especially pleased that for complex questions, we immediately have a contact person with the necessary technical know-how on the line.

Thank you for the insights, Fabio!
